Building mixed-income communities where everyone can thrive.

We are Trust Neighborhoods. Working to help neighborhoods protect renters from displacement, invest in their housing, and build community power.

We support existing neighborhood-based organizations in creating Mixed-Income Neighborhood Trusts, or MINTs. MINTs are managed and governed locally and operate a portfolio of mixed-income housing, focused on protecting affordability and belonging.

Too many have suffered from racism and disinvestment in their neighborhoods. Across our cities, longtime renters are being priced out just as resources and opportunities arrive.

We believe a different future is possible—and we're building it with neighborhoods across the country.

The MINTS

Pioneered in 2020 by Trust Neighborhoods, a Mixed-Income Neighborhood Trust, or MINT, is a community-controlled portfolio of mixed-income rental housing and retail that preserves affordability and preempts displacement in neighborhoods where renters are threatened by rising costs. To date, Trust Neighborhoods has supported neighborhood organizations in launching five MINTs across the country.
